My Natural Hair: Trimming My Ends

For the longest I had been trying to avoid the inevitable, but I finally decided to cut off my dead ends. I went natural in October of 2013, and my hair has only grown a little. It was quite frustrating especially since The Way 2 Live Crew's dad's locs grew at a crazy rate. I'd clip a centimeter of my ends here and there to try and preserve my length, but that only made things worse. My hair was always dry and it broke off constantly no matter how much I deep conditioned and did protein treatments. I decided that enough was enough and cut off the dead ends.

I washed and deep conditioned my hair before chopping. At first I was just going to clip it while wet, but figured it would be done more efficiently while at it's full length. In some spots I had to cut an inch and others a bit less. It's only a little uneven but I'm okay with that for now. I just want it to be healthy, eventually I may even try Hairfinity for growth since it's the best thing since sliced bread. Cheers to Natural Hair!
