It's NONE of YOUR business!

It has been on my heart for a long time to start a business. I've had a vision that I am convinced is from God, yet I go back and forth with myself and lack of faith in my ability to see it through. If there is one area in my life that I am not afraid to say I struggle with it would be my faith. It's crazy because I know my God. I know His ways. He has blessed me immensely. He has brought me through some self-esteem breaking and faith crushing situations, yet I question my ability to accomplish things THROUGH Him. Lord, please get me together!

The past few months have been about self-growth. My boyfriend always tells me to be confident in myself and that I can do anything I can put my mind to. I know that my brand may not sell millions. I don't even know if I want it to. What I do know is that I can't limit God. One of my biggest concerns is that everyone is starting a business these days and not even 1/4 of those people are remotely successful. My goal isn't to be rich or wealthy, although an extra income would be nice. I want people to have something of value that they can relate to and actually use on a daily basis.

In this post I wanted to give a few scriptures for motivation to start your business. Here it goes...

Philippians 4:13 NKJV I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This scripture, I believe is one of the most widely used scriptures. It doesn't need an explanation.

Mark 5:36 NIV Overhearing what they said, Jesus told them, "Don't be afraid; just believe." You may be the only person who believes in your brand and in your dream. It's ok though, because with God on your side you will find favour with man!

Proverbs 16:18 NIV Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
If your business grows and has much success remember to stay humble. God gives and he can take it all away. Don't be prideful and be willing to accept help and advice/constructive criticism.

I Thessalonians 5:16-19 NIV Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances; this is the will of God for your life. Regardless of how your business turns out be thankful. There will be times when you have a drought and times when business is booming. Give God the same praise in both situations. Stay prayerful and make your requests known to Him.

II Corinthians 9:8 NIV And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. God will always give us what we need to do his work. Make sure that your business glorifies God. Be patient, work hard and don't give up.

Parable of the Talents - Matthew 25:14-30

A man (Christ) goes on a journey. He give out talents. Five talents to one man, two talents to another, and one to a third man, "each according to his own ability". The man with 5 talents traded his and gained 5 more. The man with the two talents traded his and received two more. Now, the man who was given one talent hid his. Their lord came to them after a while. To the man with five he said "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord." He said the same thing to the man with 2 talents. The man with one talent didn't invest his money because he felt that their lord was unfair with reaping what didn't belong to him. His response to him was, "You wicked and lazy servant..."(read the rest lol). He gave his one talent to the man with ten talents.

The moral of the story is this... If you despise the riches of God's goodness, forbearance, and long-suffering you will lose all you have. Use what God gives you. Use your gifts or they will be taken away. The same goes with money. If you generate income with your business make sure you give back to God. AGAIN, God gives and he can take it all away.

I haven't even started on my brand...opps! There's a bit of honesty. I have a ton of ideas and plans, but I constantly worry about money and support from others. My BF and I were watching "Shark Tank" last night and I was soooooo inspired. I did feel bad for some of the people that got chewed out though, but you just have to remain confident in your product and keep trying. What God has is for you. Revelation 3:8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name."

I hope this helps someone ❤
