30 Day Shred

Today I started Jillian Michaels' "30 Day Shred". It consists of 3 Levels of which you do 10 days each. I've decided not to take a break during the shred and do a consistent 30 days. Let's hope my body allows this. I am getting much better with pushing myself. I make sure not to go beyond my limits, but I have noticed a big difference in my endurance. I started off with 7 minutes on the elliptical. I quickly jumped to the treadmill lol. That was 2 weeks ago. I can now do 30 minutes on the elliptical with no problems and I am slowly incorporating interval training.

The "30 Day Shred" consists of interval training which is much more challenging and beneficial for me because it cuts down on time. It lasts about 20 minutes and I will get the same results as if if I were doing an hour in the gym. This will not replace my gym membership or any other fitness training. I just need something structured so that I can focus more and get quicker results. I get bored with the elliptical sometimes. I can do 115 squats, not in one set of course. I've started doing about 6 sets of 19-20. Crunches and pushups have been my enemy for a long time and the "30 Day Shred" incorporates them. I love it though. I felt the burn this morning and I sweated a lot. I am very out of shape! I am still going to do extra cardio in the gym for about 30-45 minutes at least 5 days a week. I'll keep you guys updated. I can't wait to see and show my results!!
